Ariana DeBose is known for her Academy Award-winning performance as Anita in Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of West Side Story. Her Broadway credits include being Ensemble / The Bullet / Martha in Hamilton at Public Theater, Jane in A Bronx Tale on Longacre Theatre, Disco Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical at La Jolla Playhouse then Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. DeBose received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and made history as the first Afro-Latina and openly queer woman of color to win an Academy Award for West Side Story.
