'The Mad Ones' to have London premiere
Originally premiering off-Broadway in 2017, The Mad Ones tells the story of high school senior Samantha Brown before her life fell apart.
Bree Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan's musical The Mad Ones will have its London premiere at The Other Palace for a four-week run this summer. It will be one of two musicals with a book by Kerrigan to debut in London this summer, with The Great Gatsby transferring to the London Coliseum in April.
Originally premiering off-Broadway in 2017 under the title The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, The Mad Ones tells the story of high school senior Samantha Brown before her life fell apart. It also had a run in Birmingham last year.
Reprising the lead role of Samantha Brown is Dora Gee, with Jacob Fowler as Adam, Courtney Stapleton as Kelly, and Thea-Jo Wolfe as Beverly. Eliza Bowden will cover the roles of both Kelly and Sam.
Samantha Creswick, Lead Producer and Managing Director at Electric Press Productions, said: "We couldn’t be more excited to bring this beloved story to London with such an exceptional cast. The blend of West End veterans like Jacob and Courtney, alongside emerging stars Dora and Thea makes this production something truly special. We know audiences are going to fall in love with this story all over again!"
