The Donmar Warehouse has announced the full cast joining Adrien Brody in The Fear of 13, a world-premiere play by Lindsey Ferrentino. Performances run from 4 October to 30 November, and opening night is 10 October.

Alongside Academy Award winner Brody, making his London theatre debut as Nick Yarris, are Nana Mensah as Jackie Schaffer, Michael Fox, Aidan Kelly, Posi Morakinyo, Cyril Nri, Ferdy Roberts, and Tommy Sim’aan.

The Fear of 13 is based on the true story of Nick Yarris, for whom a routine traffic stop led to a conviction for murder and 22 years spent on death row. His story was previously made into a documentary by David Sington, and Justin Martin directs the stage play.

The creative team also includes set designer Miriam Buether; costume designer Brigitte Reiffenstuel; lighting designer Jon Clark; sound designer Ian Dickinson for Autograph; video designer Ash J Woodward; composer and music director DJ Walde; hair, wig, and makeup designer Campbell Young Associates; associate director Ed Burnside; voice coach Barbara Houseman; and dialect coach Aundrea Fudge.
