Black Panther actor Letitia Wright will make her National Theatre debut in the British premiere of Tracey Scott Wilson's The Story.

The new play is described as "the story of an ambitious black reporter who defies her editor to pursue an incendiary lead, choosing to go to any length to get ‘the story’".

Inspired by real events, The Story will be directed by National Theatre Artistic Associate, Clint Dyer.

The Story forms part of National Theatre director Indhu Rubasingham's inaugural season at the venue.

The Story will open in the Olivier Theatre, with dates to be announced.
