Jane McDonald, Julian Clary to lead 'Robin Hood' panto in December
Numerous award-winning West End actors will join the ninth annual panto at the historic venue, with performances running from December 2024 to January 2025.
The London Palladium will show a Robin Hood pantomime in December, continuing its annual tradition of presenting a panto each Christmas season. Performances will run from 7 December 2024 to 12 January 2025.
The star-studded cast includes Julian Clary as Robin Hood, Jane McDonald as Maid Marion, Paul Zerdin as Will Scarlet, Nigel Havers as Friar Tuck, Charlie Stemp as Alan-A-Dale, Rob Madge as The Spirit of Sherwood, Marisha Wallace as The Sheriff of Nottingham, and Tosh Wanogho-Maud as Little John.
McDonald, Wallace, and Wanogho-Maud make their Palladium panto debuts.
“I am thrilled to be making my debut in the iconic London Palladium panto, one of the highlights of the theatrical year," McDonald said in a statement. "Julian and I are already falling in love off stage, and we can't wait to bring this to Maid Marion and Robin Hood come Christmas!"
Robin Hood is the ninth Palladium panto following such productions as Cinderella, Snow White, and Jack and the Beanstalk. A pantomime is a family-friendly holiday production which is modernised with new jokes, skits, songs, and slapstick. Michael Harrison, who has produced and directed all previous Palladium pantos for Crossroads Pantomimes, returns to direct Robin Hood.
