'Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors' to have premiere at Menier Chocolate Factory

Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen's comedy take on Bram Stoker’s horror classic will tell the story of a Gen Z pansexual Count Dracula in the midst of an existential crisis.

The UK premiere of Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors will open at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London on 17 March, running until 3 May.

Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen's comedy take on Bram Stoker’s horror classic will see a cast of five tell the story of a Gen Z pansexual Count Dracula in the midst of an existential crisis.

A meek English estate agent, Jonathan Harker, travels to the treacherous mountains of Transylvania to meet new and mysterious client Count Dracula. When the Count sets his sights on Harker’s fiancé, earth scientist Lucy Westfeldt, he meets his match for the first time.

The full creative team includes Greenberg (director, returning to the Menier having previously directed The Baker’s Wife and Barnum), Tijana Bjelajac (set designer), Tristan Raines (costume designer), Ben Cracknell (lighting designer), and Yvonne Gilbert (sound designer).

Cast is yet to be announced.
