Aidan Turner and Lesley Manville cast in 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' at the National Theatre
Aidan Turner, Lesley Manville, and Monica Barbaro will appear in Christopher Hampton's adaptation of the French epistolary novel.
Marianne Elliott will return to the National Theatre after nine years to direct an all-star cast in a major revival of Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
Aidan Turner, Lesley Manville, Monica Barbaro, and Gabriella Drake will appear in Christopher Hampton's adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s novel about lovers-turned-rivals.
Elliott's last show at the National Theatre was Angels in America in 2017, with a cast that included Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane, Denise Gough, and Russell Tovey.
The creative team will include set designer Rosanna Vize, costume designer Natalie Roar, movement director Tom Jackson Greaves, lighting designer James Farncombe, and sound designer Ian Dickson for Autograph.
The play is expected to arrive at the venue in spring 2026.
