‘West End Live Lounge’ comes to Lyric Theatre for one-off concert

The Lyric Theatre will open in May.

Although the Lyric Theatre will reopen in May with Six, concerts will also take place at the venue. West End Live Lounge will be held at the Shaftesbury Avenue theatre on 14 June, with acclaimed stars taking to the mic.

The event will celebrate what they call "The Greats"; artists and musicals will go down in history. Casting for West End Live Lounge: The Greats includes Glenn Adamson, Kelly Agbowu, Marcus Ayton, Zoe Birkett, Kayla Carter, Louise Dearman, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Vivienne Ekwulugo, Hiba Elchikhe, Alice Fearn, Simon Gordon, Joel Harper-Jackson, Emma Hatton, Sophie Isaacs, Aisha Jawando, Rachel John, Martha Kirby, Emma Lindars, Vicki Manser, Kayleigh McKnight, Christina Modestou, Cedric Neal, Natalie Paris and Matt Terry. Divalution, made up of Sejal Keshwala, Laura Tebbutt and Lisa-Marie Holmes will also sing together.

West End Live Lounge will be musically directed by Sam Coates. Proceeds from the event will be donated to charity, split between the Equity Charitable Trust and the Graham Martin Bursary Appeal.

The Lyric Theatre is one of six Nimax Theatres opening in May. Other venues include the Apollo Theatre, the Duchess Theatre, the Garrick Theatre, the Palace Theatre and the Vaudeville Theatre.

West End Live Lounge is at the Lyric Theatre on 14 June.
