Lee Evans

Born in Avonmouth in 1964, Lee Evans is an award-winning stand up comic, actor, musician and writer. While known for his high energy comic performances, Evans gained his first theatre credit in 2004, starring in Endgame by Samuel Beckett opposite Michael Gambon. Shortly after, he worked with Nathan Lane in the London production of The Producers, taking on the role of Leo Bloom.

Evans appeared in the 50th-anniversary revival of Harold Pinter's The Dumb Waiter in 2007. After time away from the stage and two sell out comedy tours, Evans returned to the West End stage performing in the world premiere of Barking in Essex. In 2017, Lee Evans came out of retirement to perform scenes from Whiter Would You Go?, working with Jack Whitehall at the Harold Pinter Theatre, the scenes were performed at a one-off fundraiser.

Breaking retirement again, Evans starred in the Pinter season at Harold Pinter Theatre in Landscape / A Kind of Alaska / Monologue. Working closely with Meera Syal, Evans performed some of Pinter’s iconic comedy sketches.
