Arthur Hughes is known for being the first disabled actor to play the titular character in Richard III for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His other significant stage credits include roles as Phil in The Solid Life of Sugar Water with Graeae Theatre Company, Ladvenu/The Page in Saint Joan at the Donmar Warehouse, and Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at Sheffield Theatres.
