Born and raised in London, Alex has always thrived off the West End's evening buzz. Her love of musicals started at a young age, when she watched High School Musical on repeat to her parents’ great pleasure. Since then, her passion for musical theatre has expanded to include a particular love of new works with forward-thinking direction, but High School Musical remains as a clear foundation of good taste.
After completing a languages degree at the University of York, with stints in Paris and Argentina, she returned to London where she now works as a theatre reviewer, dancer, cabaret producer, and TV freelancer. Her career highlights include following the Strictly Come Dancing couples around the country (professionally, of course) and going to Liverpool to work on the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
A dancer herself, Alex has admiration for every artist who has the gumption and guts to perform with vulnerability and heart. In 2022, she had the pleasure of interviewing some current musical theatre stars on her radio show for the community station, Riverside Radio.
Although she no longer has time for her weekly radio slot, she now produces one-off cabarets in her spare time. Her new flame, Luna Cabaret, is a night of organised chaos bringing together burlesque, music, comedy and dance.
