The Ladykillers - Full cast announced

The full cast has been announced for the West End return engagement of Graham Linehan's stage adaptation of William Rose's screenplay for the 1955 Ealing Comedy The Ladykillers, opening at the Vaudeville Theatre 9 July 2013, following previews from 29 June, and booking through to 26 Oct 2013.

Directed by Sean Foley, the cast will feature Ralf Little (Harry), Simon Day (Major Courtney), Angela Thorne (Mrs Wilberforce), John Gordon Sinclair (Professor Marcus) and Con O'Neill (Louis). Chris McCalphy will reprise his role as 'One Round' following the show's recent UK tour.

Tells the classic black comedy tale of a sweet little old lady, alone in her house, pitted against a gang of criminal misfits who will stop at nothing....Posing as amateur musicians, Professor Marcus and his gang rent rooms in the lopsided house of sweet and eccentric Mrs Wilberforce. The villains plot to involve her unwittingly in Marcus' brilliantly conceived heist job. The police are left stumped but Mrs Wilberforce becomes wise to their ruse and Marcus concludes that there is only one way to keep the old lady quiet. With only her parrot, General Gordon, to help her, Mrs W. is alone with five desperate men. But who will be forced to face the music?

The Ladykillers has designs and costumes by Michael Taylor, lighting by James Farncombe, sound by Ben and Max Ringham, and is produced by Edward Snape for Fiery Angel

(The play was last in the West End at the Gielgud Theatre from 26 Nov 2011 to 14 April 2012, and has since been touring the UK)
