Susannah Harker & Stephen Ballantyne are to replace Kristin Scott Thomas & Douglas Hodge from 20 May 03 in Three Sisters, at the Playhouse theatre.

The play continues to feature Kate Burton (Olga), Madeleine Worrall (Irina).

Written by Anton Chekhov, in a new version by Christopher Hampton, the show is currently booking to 29 June 03

It is directed by Michael Blakemore, with set design by Robin Don, lighting by Mark Henderson and costumes by John Bright. It is produced by the Ambassador Theatre Group, Elizabeth I McCann and Matthew Mitchell.

Stuck in a garrison town, out on the edge of Russia, Olga, Masha and Irina dream of freedom, of sex, of romance and of Moscow. On Irina's name-day, a day of radiant sunshine, two figures appear in their lives - Vershinin and Natasha. Each will transform the family.
