2025 Olivier Awards nominations announced, with 'Fiddler on the Roof' leading

Find out the full details of the 2025 Olivier Award nominations. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 6 April, with Beverley Knight and Billy Porter hosting.

The full list of Olivier Award nominations for 2025 was announced today, 4 March. The nominations were revealed by Olivier Award winners Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis, who won Best Actor and Actress in a Musical for Sunset Boulevard last year. The pair were dressed in their Sunset Boulevard costumes, complete with fake blood, for the occasion.

Fiddler on the Roof leads the pack, with 13 nominations including Best Musical Revival and representation across the four acting categories for a musical.

Musicals Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Oliver! and Starlight Express are also tipped for awards, while the two Oedipus productions will battle it out in the Best Actress category as Lesley Manville and Indira Varma's Jocastas go head to head.

Plays including Eline Arbo's adaptation of The Years and Giant are also well represented, with Romala Garai being nominated for both in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category. Adrien Brody could also do the double and scoop an Olivier Award for The Fear of 13 in addition to his Academy Award for The Brutalist.

This year’s Olivier Awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday 6 April.
