The Toad Poems at Etcetera Theatre from 22 June

Double Square Productions presents The Toad Poems, by Gerald Locklin and George Carroll, at the Etcetera Theatre, a fringe venue in Camden , north London from 22 to 27 June 2010.

Directed by Oscar Sharp, cast includes Donita Beeman, Cecile Monteyne and Niall Spooner-Harvey.

Fuses the writing of George Carroll with the poetry of Gerald Locklin and offers observations on the bliss and blisters of domestic life with riffs and rants on Beethoven, beer and other important topics.It's Southern California, 1975 and 'meticulously unadorned' professor/ performance poet Burl Turner has recently separated from his warm and witty wife, Kate and is living with his tenacious graduate student girlfriend, Casey Hale. But maybe all Burl really wants to do is write the Great American Novel and enjoy a sandwich - in peace.
