‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ announces full casting and extension
The Neil Gaiman story will now run to May 2022.
The full cast for the West End transfer of The Ocean at the End of the Lane has been revealed, ahead of performances beginning next month. The Ocean at the End of the Lane is at the Duke of York's Theatre from 23 October, and The Ocean at the End of the Lane tickets are on sale now.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane will also play at the Duke of York's Theatre for an extended booking period. The production will now run to 14 May.
James Bamford and Nia Towle will play Boy and Lettie Hempstock. The cast is completed by Siubhan Harrison as Ginnie Hempstock, Penny Layden as Mrs Hempstock, Grace Hogg-Robinson as Sis, Laura Rogers as Ursula, Nicolas Tennant as Dad, Ruby Ablett, Emma Bown, Charlie Cameron, Jeff D'Sangalang, Kieran Garland, Miranda Heath, Tom Mackley, Charleen Qwaye, and Peter Twose.
Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, The Ocean at the End of the Lane sees a man transported back in time to his 12th birthday. Thrown into a magical world, the boy and his friend Lettie must do all it takes to survive, dealing with the forces around them.
Joel Horwood adapts The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which was first seen at the National Theatre in 2019 and won an Olivier Award for best lighting. Katy Rudd directs, with scenic design by Fly Davis, costume and puppet design by Samuel Wyer. lighting design by Paule Constable and sound design by Ian Dickinson.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane is at the Duke of York's Theatre from 23 October - 14 May.
