STEPHANIE LAWRENCE IS FOUND DEAD

West End and Broadway star Stephanie Lawrence' has been found dead at her home. The 50-year-old musical star was pronounced dead at her home in Fulham this morning.  It has not been announced what the cause of death was, but her death is not beeing treated as suspicious by the police.

In 1998 she was sacked from the West End show "CATS" at the New London Theatre. She was then  reported to have been treated in a London clinic for alcoholism and depression.

Her many West End credits include "Starlight Express", "Evita", "Cats" and most recently 'Mrs Johnstone' in Blood Brothers, at the Phoenix Theatre.

She was born in Hayling Island, Hampshire, and was married for the first time some two months ago to Laurie Sautereau.
