Matthew Bourne’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ sets London dates for 10th anniversary tour
The production will play a Christmas season at Sadler’s Wells.
Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures return to Sadler’s Wells for the 20th consecutive year with Sleeping Beauty. As part of the show’s nationwide tour, Sleeping Beauty plays at Sadler’s Wells from 29 November to 15 Jan. 2023.
In Sleeping Beauty, audiences are invited to a upside-down world where Aurora tries to find her true love in a complicated battle between good and evil. Sleeping Beauty uses Tchaikovsky’s score, and Matthew Bourne choreographs and directs. Find out more about the Olivier Award-winning choreographer Matthew Bourne.
The company includes Ashley Shaw and Katrina Lyndon as Princess Aurora, and Andrew Monaghan, Stephen Murray, and Rory Macleod as Leo.
Paris Fitzpatrick plays the Dark Fairy. Fitzpatrick, Dominic North and Christopher Thomas share the role of Count Lilac. Jackson Fisch plays Carabosse and Ben Brown plays Caradoc.
Benjamin Barlow Bazeley, Stephanie Billers, Isaac Peter Bowry, Kayla Collymore, Jade Copas, Cameron Flynn, Perreira Franque, Sophia Hurdley, Shoko Ito, Kurumi Kamayachi, Daisy May Kemp, Hannah Kremer, James Lovell, Enrique Ngbokota, Danny Reubens and Bryony Wood complete the Sleeping Beauty cast.
The show features set and costume design by Lez Brotherston, lighting design by Paule Constable and sound design by Paul Groothuis.
