Mary Poppins and Les Miserables Staged Concert cast recordings confirmed
The live cast recordings will be available to purchase next month.
Cameron Mackintosh has announced today that the cast recordings of Mary Poppins and Les Miserables - The All-Star Staged Concert are being released. Mary Poppins will be available from 6 November, with the Les Miserables - The All-Star Staged Concert cast recording to be released on 20 November.
If you want to get your musical fix already, four tracks across both albums have been released today. From Mary Poppins, you can now listen to:
"A Spoonful of Sugar" and "Step in Time."
From Les Miserables - The All-Star Staged Concert, you can listen to:
"Valjean's Soliloquy" sung by Alfie Boe and "Stars" sung by Michael Ball.
Mary Poppins returned to the Prince Edward Theatre in October 2019, with Zizi Strallen as Mary and Charlie Stemp as Bert. In a five-star review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, "it is staged with spectacular assurance - a family show about a family that's as full of charm as it is full of spectacle and stand-out numbers."
Les Miserables - The All-Star Staged Concert was staged at the Gielgud Theatre for four months in summer 2019, before the show returned to the Sondheim Theatre. As well as Ball and Boe, the cast included Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine and Matt Lucas as Thénardier.
