Martin Shaw-led 'A Man for All Seasons' to transfer to the West End
Martin Shaw's previous credits include Judge John Deed and Inspector George Gently on screen and Hobson’s Choice, The Best Man, and Twelve Angry Men on stage.
A Man for All Seasons, starring Martin Shaw, will head to the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End this summer. Performances begin on 6 August, running until 6 September.
Shaw, whose previous credits include Judge John Deed and Inspector George Gently on screen and Hobson’s Choice, The Best Man, and Twelve Angry Men on stage, stars as Sir Thomas More in Robert Bolt's play about the fallout from Henry VIII's divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
Directed by Jonathan Church, the play will also star Edward Bennett, Nicholas Day, Calum Finlay, Orlando James, Hari Kang, Asif Khan, Annie Kingsnorth, Sam Parks, Sam Phillips, Louisa Sextona, and Gary Wilmot, with further cast to be announced.
The creative team is completed by Simon Higlett (Set & Costume Designer), Mark Henderson (Lighting Designer), Paul Groothuis (Sound Designer), and Matthew Scott (Composer).
A Man for All Seasons played at Theatre Royal Bath in January 2025.
