'Life of Pi' tickets available through September 2022
The play received nine Olivier Award nominations.
Life of Pi will play an extended booking period at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Life of Pi performances are now scheduled to 4 September, and Life of Pi tickets are on sale now.
The Life of Pi play received nine Olivier Award nominations earlier this month, including Best New Play, Best Actor (for Hiran Abeysekera, who plays Pi), and Best Director (for Max Webster.) Read all the 2022 Olivier Award nominations here.
Based on Yann Martel’s award-winning novel of the same name, Life of Pi follows a sixteen-year-old boy who is the sole human survivor after a tragedy takes place at sea. While making his painstaking way to shore, he is accompanied by a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger.
The Life of Pi cast includes Hiran Abeysekera as Pi, Mina Anwar as Ma, Nicholas Khan as Father, Payal Mistry as Rani, Tom Espiner as Father Martin and Commander Grant-Jones, Raj Ghatak as Mamaji and Pandit-Ji, Syreeta Kumar as Mrs Biology Kumar and Zaida Khan, David K.S. Tse as Mr Okamoto, Kirsten Foster as Lulu Chen, Habib Nasib Nader as Cook and Voice of Tiger.
The seven puppeteers who operate the Richard Parker tiger — and collectively nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor — are Fred Davis (Tiger Head), Daisy Franks (Tiger Hind), Romina Hytten (Tiger Heart), Tom Larkin (Tiger Head), Tom Stacy (Tiger Hind) and Scarlet Wilderink (Tiger Heart). Max Webster directs Lolita Chakrabarti’s Life of Pi play adaptation. Set and costume design is Tim Hatley, with puppet movement and design by Finn Caldwell and Nick Barnes, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, and sound design by Carolyn Downing.
Life of Pi is at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
