After performances at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2021, South Pacific will play a summer season at Sadler's Wells. South Pacific is at Sadler's Wells from 27 July to 28 August, and the London run is followed by a South Pacific UK tour.

Julian Ovenden will play Emile de Becque in South Pacific, joined by Gina Beck as Ensign Nellie Forbush, Rob Houchen as Lieutenant Joseph Cable, Joanna Ampil as Bloody Mary and Sera Maehara as Liat. All five performers played their respective roles in South Pacific Chichester performances. Further South Pacific casting will be announced at a later date.

The South Pacific musical is set during World War II on a remote island. Through the musical, an American nurse, Nellie, falls in love with Emile, a French plantation owner. The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical features well-known songs including "Some Enchanted Evening" and "Bali Ha'i".

The South Pacific creative team includes direction by Daniel Evans, scenic and costume design by Peter McKintosh, choreography and movement direction by Ann Yee, lighting design by Howard Harrison and sound design by Paul Groothuis.
