‘Jersey Boys’ now opening at Trafalgar Theatre this July
Performances will continue at the new West End theatre through the Christmas period.
The sounds of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will definitely be working their way back to the West End, as Jersey Boys returns to London. Performances will now begin at the new Trafalgar Theatre on 28 July, with a current booking period to 2 Jan. 2022.
Based on true stories, Jersey Boys tells of the lives of four New Jersey singers, with their collective sound transforming the future of music. Although they sounded perfect, their lives were anything but, however they became a global phenomenon with songs including "Walk Like A Man", "Sherry" and "Who Loves You".
Casting for the West End revival of Jersey Boys is to be announced. Direction by is Des McAnuff, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
Jersey Boys made its West End debut in 2008, winning Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards. The musical played at the Prince Edward Theatre for six years, then transferring to the Piccadilly Theatre for a further three years.
The upcoming musical revival will be the first show to play at the new Trafalgar Theatre, a new performance space. Trafalgar Studios One and Two will be combined into one venue, with more information here.
Jersey Boys is at the Trafalgar Theatre from 28 July.
