‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ announces new cast from October 2022

The spellbinding play continues in London.

Sam Crane will take over the role of Harry Potter, with Frances Grey as Ginny Potter and Thomas Grant as Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge and Michelle Gayle continue as Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, with Grace Wylde joining the cast as Rose Granger-Weasley. James Howard continues as Draco Malfoy and Adam Wadsworth will join the cast as Scorpius Malfoy.

Gabriel Akamo, Troy Alexander, Harry Ames, David Annen, Sue Appleby, Fletcher Bell, Sabina Cameron, Phil Cheadle, Robert Curtis, Tim Dewberry, Iskandar Eaton, Lewis Edgar, Max Forde, Jack Gardner, Jemma Gould, Lottie Grey, Kelton Hoyland, April Hughes, Max Hutchinson, Rafferty Isons, Emma Louise Jones, Alice Langton-Farrell Tom Mackean, David Mara, Henry Maynard, Kathryn Meisle, Abbiegail Mills, Harry Munson, Gigi Noel-King, Melaina Pecorini, Niamh Perry, Ruchi Rai, Ian Redford, Rosalind Steele, Tom Storey, Joshua Talbot, Susan Vidler and Wreh-asha Walton complete the 46-strong company.

Set 19 years after Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger graduate from Hogwarts, the magical trio are back at the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth Harry Potter story, and the first to be told on stage. The show features an original book by Jack Thorne, based on ideas by Thorne, J. K. Rowling and John Tiffany. Tiffany directs, with movement by Steven Hoggett, scenic by Christine Jones, costume design by Katrina Lindsay, lighting design by Neil Austin, sound design by Gareth Fry and illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison.

Who wrote Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

Jack Thorne wrote Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, based on ideas by himself, John Tiffany and the Harry Potter writer, J. K. Rowling. Jack Thorne has also adapted Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol.
