Newsies
Feel like the king of New York at Newsies. Based on the paperboy strike of 1899, follow the youngsters as they strike, fight, and do all it takes to get better pay. Jack Kelly leads the Manhattan workers to go against Joseph Pulitzer, but will their risks pay off? Newsies isn't all about the story though — Matt Cole directs and choreographs spectacular routines, with dancers spinning, soaring and leaping through the air. In our review, we said the show boasts the best dancing in town, with "an astonishing mix of styles to convey the toughness of the newsies, but also their youthful enthusiasm: they’re still just kids at heart. Jump rope and leapfrog meet one-handed cartwheels, split leaps, jetés, breakdance moves like whirling windmills, even cheerleading stunts." Whether you're sitting in the Bronx, Flushing, Richmond, Woodside, Brooklyn, or Manhattan, you'll feel a part of the action.

The Spongebob Musical
Join SpongeBob Squarepants and all his Bikini Bottom friends as they do all it takes to save their undersea world. It's not all cartoon chaos though. There's a upbeat pop score, with songs by Sara Bareilles, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, the Plain White T’s, and David Bowie.
Spongebob has already wowed Broadway audiences, with a New York Theatre Guide review saying: "It is a rare feat to effectively translate style and comedy from one genre to another. Tina Landau, the conceiver and director, succeeds marvelously. She leaves no shell unturned." Pack your suncream, sunglasses and swimming costume for a visit to the pineapple under the sea.
