Full casting announced for A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic

The full cast of Jack Thorne's A Christmas Carol has been announced, which will be staged for the third consecutive Christmas season at the Old Vic from next month.

Myra McFadyen and Gloria Onitiri will play the Ghost of Christmas Past and Ghost of Christmas Present respectively. They are joined by Andrew Langtree who will play the roles of Father and Marley, James Staddon as Fezziwig and Steven Miller as Bob Cratchit.

The role of Tiny Tim is shared by Rayhaan Kufuor-Gray, Lara Mehmet, Lenny Rush and Eleanor Stollery.

The cast is completed by Melissa Allan, Kwêsi Edman, Hollie Edwin, Fred Haig, Nick Hart, Steven Miller, Maria Omakinwa, Samuel Townsend and Rebecca Trehearn.

They join the previously announced Paterson Joseph who will play Ebenezer Scrooge. 

Originally written by Charles Dickens, the festive story has been adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne. A Christmas Carol follows a businessman named Ebenezer Scrooge in Victorian England. With a lack of seasonal goodwill, he's greeted by the ghost of his business partner Jacob Marley as well the ghosts of Christmases past, present and yet to come who warn him to change his ways before it's too late.

Jack Thorne's adaptation of A Christmas Carol was first performed at the Old Vic in 2017, directed by Matthew Warchus and staged in an immersive in-the-round seating. 

A Christmas Carol is at the Old Vic from 23rd November.
