The full cast has been announced for Jamie Lloyd's production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. The Tempest, starring Sigourney Weaver, kicked off his season of Shakespeare at the West End venue, and plays until 1 February.
Joining Tom Hiddleston as Benedick and Hayley Atwell as Beatrice are Mara Huf (Hero), Forbes Masson (Leonato), Phillip Olagoke (Friar Francis), Mason Alexander Park (Margaret), James Phoon (Claudio), and Tim Steed (Don John), all currently starring in The Tempest.
The cast is completed by Mika Onyx Johnson (Borachio) and Gerald Kyd (Don Pedro).
The creative team includes set and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Jon Clark, sound designers and composers Ben and Max Ringham, movement director Fabian Aloise, associate director and text editor Jonathan Glew, wigs, hair and make-up designer Carole Hancock, intimacy coordinator Ingrid Mackinnon, and assistant director Cory Hippolyte.
Shakespeare's comedy about misunderstandings, love, and deception follows two couples — Claudio and Hero, and Benedick and Beatrice — as they fall in and out of love with each other.
