‘From Here to Eternity’ livestream taking place this weekend
Relive the 2013 musical, filmed at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
From Here To Eternity is the latest full-length musical to be streamed online, courtesy of The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel. The West End musical will be live from 7pm on 6 November, available for 48 hours.
Based on James Jones' novel, From Here To Eternity documents the American atmosphere at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. The lives of a private and his platoon sergeant are set on a brand new course, which they're unable to control.
The musical features a book by Bill Oakes, with music by Stuart Bryson and Tim Rice. The production only ran for six months at the Shaftesbury Theatre, with performances from 30 Sept. 2013 to 29 Mar. 2014.
The production stars Darius Campbell as Warden and Robert Lonsdale as Prewitt. Rebecca Thornhill plays Karen, with Siubhan Harrison as Lorene and Ryan Sampson as Maggio.
In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton praised Tim Rice's top billing, also commenting on the movement. He said: "Javier de Frutos's typically muscular choreography lends it an appealingly masculine bravura, and the massive company of 33 give it their all."
Earlier this year, the original cast and creatives of From Here To Eternity reunited for a charity event, discussing their involvement with the musical.
From Here To Eternity is available from 6 November at 7pm. You can watch the musical below.
