Derren Brown’s ‘Unbelievable’ to open in the West End
Following a world premiere in Colchester, the psychological illusionist will present a magic show like no other. Derren Brown will not star in the show.
Following Derren Brown’s Showman in the West End, the illusionist will return with his second show in 2023. Derren Brown's Unbelievable will play a month-long engagement at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester from 28 July to 26 August, followed by performances at the Criterion Theatre from 19 September to 7 Apr. 2024.
To date, Brown is a two-time Olivier-winning illusionist: Something Wicked this Way Comes and Svengali both won Best Entertainment.
Brown collaborates with Andy Nyman and Andrew O’Connor for the Unbelievable show, promising an "evening of bewildering trickery." The show includes an updated version of Will, The Witch and the Wolfman, not seen in London for over a century. Derren Brown will not appear in Unbelievable. Casting will be revealed at a later date.
“We have reimagined what a night of illusion could be. We have taken the love and experience we’ve put into my own stage work over twenty years and created, from the ground up, a proper, original, theatrical experience. I think we have liberated the magic show. It’s going to be a glorious thing," said Brown.
