UPDATE: Performances of The Elf Who Was Scared of Christmas will be available to stream from 16 December.

Sprinkling a bit of Christmas cheer to audiences, a new, festive musical will open at Charing Cross Theatre in December. Titled The Elf Who Was Scared of Christmas, performances will take place from 8 to 23 December.

The two-man musical follows Cupcake, an elf who becomes scared of Christmas when 1 December arrives. Throughout the show, Figgy tries to convince Cupcake to celebrate and uncover the magic of the season.

Gina Beck will star in the show, previously appearing in Matilda as Miss Honey and Wicked as Glinda the Good Witch. Neil McDermott joins Beck, whose theatre credits include Eugenius! at The Other Palace. The Elf Who Was Scared of Christmas marks the pair reuniting on stage for the first time in over 20 years.
