‘Bring It On: The Musical’ to play London season at Southbank Centre this Christmas
Amber Davies and Louis Smith will lead the cast.
After the national tour of Bring It On: The Musical was cancelled as a result of the pandemic, the cheerleading musical will finally entertain audiences this year. Bring It On: The Musical will play a London season at Queen Elizabeth Hall from 8 December - 22 Jan. 2022, as part of a nationwide tour.
Adapting the 2000 movie of the same name, Bring It On: The Musical sees two rival cheer teams compete for the crown, with squads dedicating their lives to the mat. Bring It On: The Musical features an original score by the Pulitzer Prize-winning writers Tom Kitt and Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, with a book by Avenue Q's Jeff Whitty.
Amber Davies will play Campbell, previously playing Judy in 9 to 5 at the Savoy Theatre. While training at Urdang, she starred as Campbell in a production of Bring It On: The Musical.
She'll be joined by four-time Olympic medallist Louis Smith as Cameron, who after dedicating a career to gymnastics has recently transitioned to a performing career, recently in Rip It Up at the Garrick Theatre. Full casting is to be announced.
Bring It On: The Musical is at Queen Elizabeth Hall from 8 December - 22 Jan. 2022.
Bring It On: The Musical tickets are on sale from 5 March.
