Ben Elton to star in ‘We Will Rock You’ West End cast

The musical’s writer will play the Rebel Leader in the Queen musical at the London Coliseum, joined by Lee Mead, Brenda Edwards, and Christine Allado.

This We Will Rock You cast are the champions! The musical’s creator, Ben Elton, will make his West End debut in the summer production, with performances at the London Coliseum from 2 June to 26 August.

Ben Elton will play the Rebel Leader, previously known as Pop. He wrote and directed the original 12-year run of We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre.

Ian McIntosh and Elena Skye will play Galileo and Scaramouche, alongside Brenda Edwards as the Killer Queen, Lee Mead as Khashoggi, Christine Allado as Meat, Adrian Hansel as Brit, Jenny O’Leary as the alternate Killer Queen, Glenn Adamson, Laura Ava-Scott, Liam Buckland, David Burilin, Victoria Collins, Leanne Garrety, Lucy Glober, Ryesha Higgs, Shak Mancel James, David McIntosh, Danny Nattrass, Jarryd Nurden, Sam Robinson, Madison Swan, Rebecca Wickes, Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Isaac Edwards, Ellis Linford-Pill, and Karen Walker.

Set in a futuristic corporate world where Earth is renamed Planet Mall, the We Will Rock You musical follows a group of free-spirited bohemians as they rally against a global conglomerate. The We Will Rock You uses 24 songs in Queen’s discography, including “We Are the Champions," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Who Wants to Live Forever?" Listen to all the Queen songs in We Will Rock You.
