Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the Bat Out of Hell musical follows two young lovers from rival groups. Bat Out of Hell began performances at the London Coliseum in 2017, before transferring to the Dominion Theatre from 2017 - 2019.
The Bat Out of Hell musical features Meat Loaf songs including “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” and “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)”.
In a four-star review of Bat Out of Hell in London, our critic said: “This production does capture the essence of rock music - it's a spectacular, sensory overload from start to finish. On paper, it probably shouldn't work. But as it's unfolding in front of you, and you're shaking your head in the midst of a "WTF?" moment, you can't help but think "I love it."
Bat Out of Hell London casting is to be announced. The musical features a book, music and lyrics by Jim Steinman, direction by Jay Scheib, choreography by Xena Gusthart, set and costume design by Jon Bausor, original costume designs by Meentje Nielsen, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe and sound design by Gareth Owen.
Bat Out of Hell performances are dedicated to Jim Steinman, who sadly passed away on 19 Apr. 2021, and Meat Loaf, who passed away on 20 Jan. 2022.
