Anne-Marie Duff cast in 'The Little Foxes' at the Young Vic
Anne-Marie Duff, who last performed at the Young Vic Theatre 17 years ago in The Soldier's Fortune, will lead the cast of The Little Foxes as Regina Giddens.
BAFTA Award-winning actress Anne-Marie Duff has been announced as starring in a new production of Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes at the Young Vic in London. Performances begin on 2 December and Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner directs.
Duff, who last performed at the Young Vic Theatre 17 years ago in The Soldier's Fortune, will lead the cast as Regina Giddens, in this play about a woman from Alabama who struggles for wealth and freedom in the early 20th century.
Anne-Marie Duff said: “The Little Foxes is a formidable play by a formidable writer – I couldn’t put it down. It’s a searing drama about corruption, betrayal and the relentless pursuit of power. At the heart of it is Regina, a charismatic yet ruthless character who, when the reins are unleashed, goes full force to take matters into her own hands. It’s a joy to return to the Young Vic stage and bring Lillian Hellman’s classic play to life with the brilliant Lyndsey Turner.”
The creative team includes design by Lizzie Clachan, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound design by Tingying Dong, and fight direction by Kev McCurdy.
Further casting is to be announced.
