Almeida Theatre to present world premiere of 'A Mirror'

Jonny Lee Miller, Tanya Reynolds, and Micheal Ward will star in this new play by Sam Holcroft, performing for one month only beginning on August 15.

The Almeida Theatre will present the world premiere of Sam Holcroft's A Mirror this summer, with performances running from 15 August to 23 September. Opening night is on 23 August.

A Mirror is described as an “elusive and explosive” new play that takes place at the wedding of Joel and Layla. Little else is known about the plot thus far, but the show explores themes of censorship, authorship, and free speech.

The complete cast of A Mirror includes Trainspotting's Jonny Lee Miller, Sex Education's Tanya Reynolds, and Empire of Light's Micheal Ward.

The creative team, led by director Jeremy Herrin, includes set and costume designer Max Jones, lighting designer Azusa Ono, sound designer and composer Nick Powell, and fight director Jonathan Holby.
