Alfred Molina first appeared in John Logan's Red in 2009 when it premiered at the Donmar Warehouse directed by Michael Grandage. Despite a sell-out success which led to a Broadway run, and Tony Award for Best Play, the play has never been seen in the West End. Until now.

Red is about artist Mark Rothko who was commissioned to produce a series of murals for a hotel in New York. The play is set over the two-year period of the paintings being created by Rothko and his assistant Ken.

When the play premiered at the Donmar, Ken was played by Eddie Redmayne, who won a Tony Award for his performance. Now, it's the turn of Alfred Enoch, who many will recognise as Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film series.

Red begins previews on 4th May at the Wyndham's Theatre, and we were invited into rehearsals to speak to Enoch and Molina, and find out a bit more about the play.

Red is at Wyndham's Theatre from 4th May to 28th July.
