Danny Mac grew up in the seaside town of Bognor Regis and trained at the Arts Educational School in London, graduating in 2009.

Having made his West End debut as the young Gavroche in Les Misérables in 1999, Mac returned to the London stage in the hit musical Wicked in 2009. He remained with the show for nearly two years, appearing in the ensemble and understudying the role of Boq, leaving the show in 2011 to star in Hollyoaks as Mark Savage. He stayed with Hollyoaks for 4 years, playing village heartthrob Mark “Dodger” Savage who found himself embroiled in several juicy storylines over the years.

Danny Mac competed in the 2016 series of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing with Oti Mabuse, regularly topped the leaderboard and reaching the final. After appearing in Strictly, he returned to musical theatre, starring in the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre revival of On The Town.

He then returned to the West End to star in White Christmas after starring in the 2018 production at Leicester Curve, reprising his performance as Bob Wallace. Mac then starred as Edward Lewis in the West End premiere of Pretty Woman: The Musical as Edward Lewis, opposite Aimie Atkinson as Vivian Ward.
