'Witness for the Prosecution' announces new cast

It has been 100 years since Agatha Christie’s story about the case of Leonard Vole, accused of murder in cold blood, was first published in a weekly detective magazine.

The 13th cast has been revealed for Witness for the Prosecution at London's County Hall, as the production extends its run through 26 April, 2026. The new cast will begin performances from 18 March.

It has been 100 years since Agatha Christie’s story about the case of Leonard Vole, accused of murder in cold blood, was first published in a weekly detective magazine. The production is now in its eighth year in London.

Harry Chandler (Les Misérables) will star as Leonard Vole opposite Charlotte Beaumont (Broadchurch) as Romaine Vole, Jonathan Firth (And Then There Were None) as Wilfrid Robarts QC, Nigel Hastings (And Then Come the Night Jars) as Mr Mayhew, Jeffery Kissoon (And Then There Were None) as Mr Justice Wainwright, and David Birrell (1984) as Mr Myers QC.

The company is completed by Charles Angiama, Caroline Gruber, Matthew Hebden, Phoenix Henries, Harrison Hirst, Gillian McCafferty, Sky Bailey McGill, Anna Rawlings, Jack Spencer, Dale Superville, Paulo Vieira, and Christopher Wright.

Director Lucy Bailey’s production is designed by William Dudley, with lighting by Chris Davey and sound design by Mic Pool.
