Video: In rehearsals with the cast of The Red Lion
We popped into rehearsals of The Red Lion, Patrick Marber's play about a non-league football club which opens at the Trafalgar Studiosnext week.
The Red Lion tells the story of a promising young footballer called Jordan (Dean Bone) who played for a northern semi-professional team. His manager Kidd (Stephen Tompkinson) wants to sell him on to make some money for the club (and his own pocket), but Yates (John Bowler), the kit man who has been at the club all his life, wants to keep him on board.
Directed by Max Roberts, the production ran at Live Theatre in Newcastle earlier this year, and will run at Trafalgar Studios 2 until 2nd December.
On 20th November, there will be a special post-show talk with former England striker and television presenter Gary Lineker.
