Venue announced for immersive Wolf of Wall Street show in London
The venue and casting for an immersive adaptation of The Wolf of Wall Street, the memoir of larger-than-life stockbroker Jordan Belfort, have been revealed.
Announced earlier this year, Alexander Wright will adapt and direct the interactive version of the memoir, which charted his rise in the finance industry, run-ins with the FBI, and outlandish lifestyle he was able to maintain.
It has now been announced that the production will be taking over a building close to Liverpool Street, which spans four floors with 25 rooms, and will be renovated to recreate the 1990s New York world Belfort lived in. The address of the venue is 5-15 Sun Street.
A cast of 16 will play the characters featured in the memoirs, which was adapted into a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort. Oliver Tilney will play Belfort in this production, which begins previews on 5th September.
Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty will play wife Nadine, and James Bryant will play his business partner Danny, roles which were played by Margot Robbie and Jonah Hill in the film.
The cast also includes Charlotte Brown, Caroline Colomei, Ivy Corbin, Alan Devally, Sam Donnelly, Fia Houston Hamilton, Samuel Hunt, Naail Ishaq, Andrew Macbean, Olivia Marcus, Jack Matthew, Razak Osman and Gail Sixsmith.
The Wolf of Wall Street will features designs by Ciaran Bagnall, costumes by Heledd Rees, lighting by Rachel Sampley, co-sound design and music supervision by Phil Grainger, co-sound design by Lara Gallagher and movement by Chi-San Howard.
The Wolf of Wall Street will run in London from 5th September.
