In 1747, the deeply religious, peace-loving Bach is summoned to the court of the atheist, war-mongering Frederick II for an important musical commission. Can the two men find common ground?

Set in the Hamptons in the present day, Elena Solness gives a party for her husband Henry, a celebrated architect. However, an unexpected guest turns out to be a former student with whom Henry had a relationship that went beyond teacher/student. It’s set to be a gripping exploration of timely and timeless themes.

This enchanting show transfers to the West End following a record-breaking run at the Barbican, where it won six Olivier Awards. Based on the 1988 Studio Ghibli film, two young sisters move to countryside following their mother’s hospitalisation, where they encounter numerous woodland spirits, including the furry giant Totoro.

Creativity abounds in the telling of this community-centred ecological fable. war of words crackles with fresh urgency. Lloyd, known for his radical interpretations of classic texts, has described the production as an experiment in fusing Shakespeare with the electrifying rhythms of nightlife. With a soundtrack of club anthems and a design steeped in Y2K aesthetics, this *Much Ado* promises to be anything but traditional.

Nick Hytner’s production of Shakespeare’s history play illustrates the timelessness of its central battle between the “born to rule” Plantagenet monarch and his arguably more capable adversary (and cousin) Henry Bolingbroke (here styled Bullingbrook). Hytner recently told The Guardian that the play asks the basic question: “What do you do when a ruler is absolutely inadequate? How do you get rid of the rightful leader?” In a modern world of political volatility, the Bard’s themes feel increasingly prescient. The drama stars Jonathan Bailey (*Bridgerton*) who earnt his Shakespeare stripes in Hytner’s production of *Othello* in 2013 and Chichester Festival Theatre’s *King Lear* (opposite Ian McKellen) in 2017.

Based on Audrey Niffenegger's best-selling novel of the same name, the stage adaptation will feature original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winners Joss Stone and Dave Stewart and a book by Lauren Gunderson.

David Hunter and Joanna Woodward star as Henry and Clare in the musical about a couple who are separated by time. The cast album will also feature Tim Mahendran as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe as Charisse, and Ross Dawes as Henry's Dad.

Audrey Niffenegger wrote the original *The Time Traveller's Wife* novel. It was her debut book, and 25 literary publishers rejected it before one finally picked it up.

The mesmerizing stage production of *The Time Traveller's Wife* in the West End features an original score by global superstar Joss Stone and multi-Grammy Award winner Dave Stewart. The pair are renowned for collaborating with Mick Jagger, A.R. Rahman, and Damian Marley in the acclaimed supergroup SuperHeavy, and Stewart is one half of Eurythmics alongside Annie Lennox.

Although a time-travelling husband sounds like a science fiction plot, the show is a romance first and foremost. *The Time Traveller’s Wife* musical takes the London stage to celebrate the deep complexities any relationship has and how unconditional devotion can overpower them.

Niffenegger’s maternal grandparents inspired this premise. When her grandfather died young, her grandmother lived for another three decades without ever getting remarried. Niffenegger wanted to relay how infinite love is tested when something out of the couple’s control happens. 

Since being published in 2003, The Time Traveller’s Wife novel has sold over 8 million copies worldwide. Twenty-five literary agents originally rejected the hugely successful novel, yet it’s now one of the most well-known romance stories of this century.

In 1997, the author, who was also an illustrator at the time, thought of the phrase “time traveller’s wife.” She began questioning how a relationship involving a time traveller would work, if the wife would be forever lonely, and how they would meet. She decided this was a perfect book plot — and she was right!
- A sequel to the novel, titled *The Other Husband*, has been in the works for several years. It is expected imminently; the exact date is unknown.
- The successful release of the swoon-worthy book inspired a film of the same name. Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams star as Henry and Clare, with Robert Schwentke directing. Theo James and Rose Leslie later starred in a 2022 TV miniseries adaptation.
- The 2009 film originally tapped Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston to play the lead roles. The real-life former couple got divorced prior to filming, so they were recast, but Pitt became an executive producer of the film.
- Dave Stewart co-wrote the score for *Ghost: The Musical*, but this is the first time he and Joss Stone collaborated on a musical. The pair previously worked together to form the one-off supergroup SuperHeavy with Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, and AR Rahman.

During a performance of the Olivier Award winning play [*The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time*](https://www.londontheatre.co.uk/show/the-curious-incident-of-the-dog-in-the-night-time) on 19 Dec. 2013, a large section of the ceiling collapsed, potentially caused by the heavy rain London had experienced that week, and 88 people were injured.

The auditorium has three levels – Stalls, Dress Circle and Grand Circle. The Stalls seats offer excellent views of the stage. Views in the outer seats are hindered by the overhang of the Dress Circle.

The Dress Circle seats may offer little legroom and little raking in the seating. The last two rows of seats sit on a higher level and offer better views than those in front.

The Grand Circle has a shallow ranke. The last two rows of seats are also built up higher.
