Songs For a New World virtual production will stream 23-25 July
Rachel John, Ramin Karimloo, Rachel Tucker, and Cedric Neal will star in the virtual production of the Jason Robert Brown show.
In an effort to bring the thrill and joy of the arts to our homes whilst theatres remain closed, LW Theatres and Lambert Jackson Productions have announced a new upcoming production of Songs For A New World, written by Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison County). The production will be filmed entirely in isolation, and will be available to livestream for three performances 23-25 July 2020 at 7pm.
Featuring a star-studded cast of West End veterans Rachel John (Hamilton), Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom of the Opera), Rachel Tucker (Come From Away), and Cedric Neal (Motown The Musical), this new production will be directed by Séimí Campbell (My Son Pinocchio - Southwark Playhouse), with music supervision by Adam Hoskins (Doctor Zhivago) and musical direction by Josh Winstone (The Last Five Years).
Songs For A New World originally premiered off Broadway in 1995, and the song cycle explores the ups and downs of life from the perspective of several characters, who hope for a better life for themselves and for the world.
Priority Tickets will go onsale from Thursday July 2 at 12PM. Customers can sign up to the Priority List on The Other Palace's website. General Tickets will be available from Friday July 3 at 12PM.
