Opening dates and ticket details announced for Dear Evan Hansen West End transfer
Dates have been announced for the upcoming West End transfer of Dear Evan Hansen, which is set to run at the Noel Coward Theatre.
The musical will begin previews in London on 29th October, and receive an official opening night on 19th November 2019.
Tickets for Dear Evan Hansen are not yet on sale, but general ticket booking will open at the beginning of April, with general public booking beginning on 8th April.
Dear Evan Hansen has music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, whose other work includes the smash-hit films La La Land and The Greatest Showman. The musical is about the titular teenager Evan who struggles with social anxiety but so desperately wants to make friends at school, he's willing to make up stories and lie his way into people's lives.
The musical premiered on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre in December 2016, and went on to win six Tony Awards the following year, including best musical, best score and best actor in a musical for Ben Platt.
Casting for the London production of Dear Evan Hansen is yet to be announced, but it has been hinted by producers that they are looking to cast a British actor as Evan.
Dear Evan Hansen will run at the Noel Coward Theatre from 29th October 2019.
Dear Evan Hansen tickets will go on sale in April.
