New cast announced for 'Witness for the Prosecution'
The new cast of Agatha Christie's classic play includes George Jones as Leonard Vole, Meghan Treadway as Romaine Vole, and Oliver Boot as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC.
A new cast has been announced for Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution, which is in its seventh year at London's County Hall. The production has also extended its run until 30 March 2025.
The new cast includes George Jones (The Mousetrap, Farm Hall) as Leonard Vole, Meghan Treadway (Cinderella, Tamed) as Romaine Vole, Oliver Boot (The Mirror Crack’d, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time) as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, Ewen Cummins (The Book of Mormon, War Horse) as Mr Mayhew, David Killick (The Importance of Being Earnest, Pressure) as Mr Justice Wainwright, and Gyuri Sarossy (Operation Epsilon, Measure for Measure) as Mr Myers QC.
The company is completed by Alexandra Barredo, Nicholas Chambers, Nicholas Cowell, Rhîan Crowley-McLean, Luke Harrison, Lawrence Haynes, Antony Jardine, Lara Lemon, Patrick Munday, Callum Ravden, Veronica Roberts, and Paulo Vieira.
The new cast will begin performances from 19 March this year.
Witness for the Prosecution recently celebrated its 2000th performance. The play follows the case of Leonard Vole, accused of murdering a widow in cold blood in order to inherit her wealth.
