Hannah Tointon joins West End cast of Waitress

Hannah Tointon will take over the role of Dawn in the West End production of Waitress as original cast member Laura Baldwin is set to leave the show, which runs at the Adelphi Theatre.

Tointon, known for her on-screen roles in The Inbetweeners, Hollyoaks and Mr Selfridge, will join the company on 2nd December taking over from Baldwin, who will play her final performance on 30th January.

It has also been announced that Lucie Jones has extended her run in the musical through to 25th January 2020 after taking over from Katharine McPhee this summer.

On stage, Tointon's recent credits include The Jazz Age at the Playground Theatre, and her other screen appearances in The Festival, Penny Dreadful and Call the Midwife.

YouTuber Joe Sugg is currently appearing in the production in the role of Ogie, which has previously been played by Jack MacBrayer and Blake Harrison. Sugg will play his final performance in the role on 30th November with further casting to be announced soon.

Waitress also stars Sandra Marvin as Becky, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter, Tamlyn Henderson as Earl and Andrew Boyer as Old Joe.

Waitress is currently booking at the Adelphi Theatre until 28th March 2020.
