Everybody's Talking About Jamie to open in the West End
The Sheffield Crucible's sold-out success Everybody's Talking About Jamie has found a West End home! Opening on 22nd November 2017, following previews from 6th November, the new musical by Dan Gillespie Sells (of The Feeling) and writer Tom MacRae will play the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie tells the story of 16 year old Jamie New. Living on a council estate in Sheffield, Jamie doesn't quite fit in with his peers and is terrified about what life has in store for him. But fate will be Jamie's friend - with the support of his brilliant loving mum and a close-knit group of friends, Jamie will overcome prejudice, the bullies and his own moments of darkness to step into the spotlight and become the sensation he is destined to be.
Reprising his role from the Sheffield Theatre's production, John McCrea is Jamie New. He is joined by the majority of the Sheffield Crucible cast, including Josie Walker, Mina Anwar, Tamsin Carroll and Daniel Anthony, Luke Baker, Courtney Bowman, James Gillian, Harriet Payne, Shiv Rabheru, Lucie Shorthouse, and Kirstie Skivington.
This fearless, funny, fabulous brand new musical sensation hits London with catchy new songs by the lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells, and writer Tom MacRae.
Fairy tales really do come true.
Tickets for Everybody's Talking About Jamie are available from Friday.
