Casting confirmed for Lost Musicals "Evening Primrose"

Casting has been confirmed for Evening Primrose, which is part of the Lost Musicals series at the Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadler's Wells (Sundays July 3,10,17,24).

The cast includes Jennifer Higham (Ella ), Michael Matus (Charles Snell), Betsy Blair (Mrs Monday) , Gary Raymond (Roscoe), David O'Brien, Anthony Wolfe, Thirl Drew, Martin Gaisford, Andrew Beavis, Myra Sands, Sylvia Seymour, Bettina Horsfall, Sarah Parr-Byrne, Maggie McCourt, James Vaughan.

Evening Primrose has Music/Lyrics Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman

It is directed by Ian Marshall Fisher

This is a theatrical premiere of James (A Lion In Winter & Follies) Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's 1967 television project that has not been performed since it was first broadcast. Charles, a poet, escapes the world by living in a department store where he falls in love with Ella one of the window mannequins. Songs include 'Take me to the world', 'If you can find me I'm here', 'I remember' and 'When'.

**Performances will have introductory talks by guest speakers.
