Tree Folk Theatre will present a new stage version of Animal Farm adapted by Nelson Bond from the book by George Orwell which runs at the Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, east London, from 11 February to 13 March 2016.

"Manor Farm lies in the heart of the English Countryside. After a boar named Old Major tells the animals of his vision for a Utopian farm, they revolt against their owner Mr Jones, take control of the farm and create a new society in which: "All Animals Are Equal". The Pigs are first to take charge, but as each of them vie for power, the society becomes corrupted and the animals are led into a dark and brutal existence, in which "Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others"."

Directed by William Vercelli, the cast includes Tom Manning, Jordan Turner, Jerome Millington, Philippa Carson, Mitch Howell, Caitlin McMillan, Bethany Blake, William Vercelli, and Christopher G. Jones.

Tree Folk Theatre believes in bringing tales and folklore to new audiences through use of puppetry, mask work, physical theatre and music.
