As an actor, do you have a preference for stage, tv or film?
There's definitely something special about a live performance so I guess if I had to choose I've say stage, but TV and film are fun too.
Your first stage performance?
My first professional stage performance was "Cinderella" at the Hackney Empire
Career highlight to date?
Playing Elphaba
What roles would you most like to play?
I'm blessed to say the role I am doing now. Another role would be Disney's Aida.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
The best advice I've been given I think is what's for you is for you and when one door closes many more open.
What has been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
I think that would be falling over and trying really hard to cover it up..
What is the most annoying part about your job?
I wouldn't say it was annoying because I love what I do. But I don't get to see my family very much as they work in the day and I work in the evening.
Briefly tell us how you became involved with Wicked?
I auditioned last year (08), didn't even think I'd be considered! I remember it was just after Easter, and my agent called me to say they would like to offer me the role!
Briefly tell us about the character Elphaba, which you are playing in Wicked?
Elphaba is the underdog. She's been shunned all her life by her family and those around her because she's different. She's talented and very passionate, and wants to do right and make a difference; but because of her outward appearance this becomes a great struggle for her.
If you had not become a performer, what might you have done instead?
Probably would have been interested in psychology, or something like that.
Who are your favourite actors/actresses/singers?
I love Dame Judy Dench, Whitney Houston, Tom Hanks, Denzil Washington there are so many talented actor and singer it's hard to choose...
If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and what would you say to them?
I would love to meet Whitney Houston. I've always wanted to be able to sing like her. I'd probably get all nervous and get tongue tied but I think I would ask her for tips.
What was the last book you read, and name some of your favourite authors?
The last book I read was "Sleeping Arrangements" (Sophie Kinsella). "Memoirs of a Geisha", (Arthur Golden), "Waiting" (HA Jin), "A Child called It" (David Pelzer) and "White Oleander" (Janet Fitch) are all favourites.
What was the last film you saw, and name some of your favourite movies?
The last movie I saw I think was "Transformer". I love the movies the "Green Mile," "The Colour Purple," "The Great Debate,""To Sir With Love" and "Troy"- the list goes on! I love a good chick flick and Bollywood movies. I'm into most movies, not really a fan of horror though.
Favourite TV Programmes?
I don't watch much Tv but when I do I like to watch Greys Anatomy, CSI, Ugly Betty and ANTM.
Favourite holiday destinations?
Hawaii, New York and Dubai; and would love to go to New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, and the Maldives.
Do you have any hobbies?
I love knitting, Ice skating, bowling, rollerskating going to the cinema and baking fun stuff!

No
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
My mobile phone, my knitting and the Grimmerie!
What are your future plans?
I'm working on my album but would also like to do film and TV and set up a business. I'm more of a person who goes where the wind takes me.
