Watch Regent’s Park transform into Sherwood Forest in a merry Robin Hood retelling for the ages. Hit the bullseye with a visit to the theatre this summer. Robin Hood: The Legend. Re-written tickets on London Theatre.
You’re probably familiar with the Robin Hood legend. As the young outlaw runs off to the forest, he teams up with his Merry Men: Little John, Friar Tuck, and more. Together, the underdogs fight against societal injustices to outwit the sheriff. But, in Robin Hood: The Legend. Re-written play, expect thrilling takes on the British medieval folk tale — with no green tights in sight. Newly told for the 21st century, follow Robin and his gang as they take on the world.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is the ideal location for a Robin Hood play. As you venture deep into the forest, the ancient, wooded heart of the royal park and the London sunset will only add to the atmosphere.
The Grinning Man creator Carl Grose and director Melly Still inject humour and heart in this historical retelling. Still’s previously directed Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, a show that reinvented the 1940s novel for a modern audience. She’s set to add a similar flourish to the centuries-old tale.
Robin Hood in London is suitable for children aged 8 and over. During the family-friendly performances, there’ll be upbeat songs and a heartfelt story. Robin Hood is one of many child-friendly shows at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer, alongside The Tempest, and Dinosaur World Live.
